There are two ways to charge a car at home. Most electric vehicles come with a cord that can be plugged into an existing 120V outlet in the house or garage. This is called Level 1 charging and produces the slowest EV charging time. Mazda recommends purchasing a home charging station for much faster charging. In fact, the $500 credit mentioned above can also be used for the purchase of a Chargepoint home electric charger. Here are the charging times for these home methods:
